Meet Jordan Estrada
Hello, I’m Jordan Estrada. My hometown is Moreno Valley, CA. I worked for Oxford Tutoring Center for 5 years, have been a private tutor for 8 years, and have worked for Math Man Olmedo since 2024. Fun fact about is I play multiple instruments, including guitar, piano, harmonica, banjo, and mandolin.

How would you describe your tutoring style?
I try to tutor in the way that resonates with each individual student, catering to their individual needs and personalities. A great learning environment is one where students feel comfortable asking questions and expressing themselves, while also having access to a wide range of tools and resources to aid them in achieving their academic goals.
What do you enjoy most about tutoring?
What I enjoy most about tutoring is being able to provide the individualized attention that students cannot always get in a classroom setting.
How do you help students who feel stuck or lack confidence?
When students feel stuck or lack confidence, I have them work through similar examples using concepts they are already familiar with, allowing them to gain confidence and feel they are moving forward. Then, I will gradually introduce the new concepts they have been stuck on, working with them as they get more comfortable before allowing them to work independently.
What is a moment or outcome with a student that made you proud?
My proudest moment was when a student who I had been helping was able to earn an A in their math class after years of struggling with mathematics. To be able to support the student through their challenges and help them build confidence was incredibly rewarding, and seeing them earn a grade they once thought was impossible made me feel incredibly proud of their achievement.
