How would you describe your tutoring style?
I describe my tutoring style to be visual learning. I enjoy visualizing what's happening, so I'd say I try to teach people by adding pictures and drawings. A great learning environment comes from teachers that are willing to explain in various different ways and students that aren't afraid to be wrong and ask questions.
What do you enjoy most about tutoring?
What I enjoy most about tutoring is watching students gain confidence as they begin to understand and master concepts they once found difficult. I also enjoy working with young, curious minds. Seeing their growth, excitement, and sense of accomplishment as they overcome challenges makes tutoring incredibly rewarding.
How do you help students who feel stuck or lack confidence?
It depends on the student, but reassurance and guiding them through the process has done wonder for my students.
What is a moment or outcome with a student that made you proud?
Students make me proud all the time. Many times they come in knowing the material. Other times, they learn quickly. Otherwise, simply seeing them become stronger in an area they were once struggling in is really nice to see.

I enjoy working at Math Man Olmedo Tutoring Center because enjoy the ability to be able to help others!
