How would you describe your tutoring style?
My tutoring style definitely blends into a very fun way where I like to keep students entertained at times to ensure good relationships and also productive, actively keeping them on task. A great learning environment is always built off of the relationship between staff and students, being able to connect and make your student feel comfortable will also make them feel more encouraged to work.
What do you enjoy most about tutoring?
I enjoy being able to help students better understand concepts and be able to guide them and support them through their work!
How do you help students who feel stuck or lack confidence?
When students feel stuck or lack confidence, being able to share a story of your own can help students in their confidence, it’s good to be able to relate to them and let them know you were in a similar spot or are also in struggling spot with something. Being stuck is okay.
What is a moment or outcome with a student that made you proud?
An outcome that makes me proud is always just the overall progression that comes out of helping others, when you begin to notice the progress and success, that’s what makes me truly proud.
What do you love about Math Man Olmedo Tutoring Center?
I love how welcoming the staff are to everyone, it makes the perfect environment to learn.
